The demand of digital presence in every facet of life has necessitated a paradigm shift in the existing ecosystem. Digitalization is not restricted to human beings. In fact, machines and modern systems, apart from being digitalized, are also expected to be interconnected via Internet of Things (IoT) deployments. Embedded systems, IoT, computational capabilities, data analytics and artificial intelligence are shifting the present ecosystem comprising humans and machines to Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Cyber-Physical System (CPS) refers to an intrinsically intertwined combination of physical and virtual (cyber) components that compliment each other to get useful work done. The shift mandates upgrading the skills of humans to incorporate knowledge and hands--on training for basic and advanced elements of this transformation. This will increase the employability of the youth and improve the work proficiency of senior professionals. Accordingly, upgradation of knowledge and hands-on training is also required for teachers and faculty members mentoring such youth.
IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation not only leads technology development and commercialization in the area of CPS but also plans to aggressively work for skill enhancement. Our Skill development program is designed to identify academic and industrial experts to offer such skill development courses. This will further be complemented by a state of the art skilling center at IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation.
Courses would be of a generic nature catering to the needs of various industries or specifically designed for a particular industry.
Such courses could be conducted at the IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation Skill center or at any other laboratory or skill centers in the country, or even at the premise of the concerned industry.
Based on the involvement and contributions of academic experts, IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation will be happy to support development of such satellite skill centers on the premises of industry houses along a hub and spoke model.
