About the GENESIS Program
The GENESIS (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) initiative, launched by the MeitY Startup Hub (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India), aims to foster innovation and empower startups from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India.
Genesis EIR Program at ACIC-BMU Foundation will bridge the gap between ideation and commercialisation, GENESIS EIR provides critical support in the form of funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help startups build sustainable and scalable businesses.
Program Highlights
- Startup Grant: Eligible startups can avail grants of up to ₹10 Lakhs to develop, validate, and scale innovative ideas.
- Focus Areas: The GENESIS Program emphasises Technology and Innovation-driven sectors like, Electronics & IT, Emerging Technologies (AI, IOT, Blockchain, etc), Digital solutions addressing societal challenges ((Health, Education, Agriculture, Sustainability), Agri Tech and Tourism Tech or similar.
- Networking and Mentorship:Selected Startups will have access to a curated network of mentors, investors, and industry experts for guidance and support.
- Market Reach:The program ensures that startups can connect with potential customers, collaborators, and government initiatives.
We encourage founders from Tier II and Tier III cities or building solution for Tier II and Tier III cities
And we encourage startups led by women entrepreneurs, marginalised groups, or teams promoting diversity.

- Fill out this Application Form with accurate details.
- Proposal to define the problem statement and the solution, and explain how Genesis EIR can support your StartUp
- Declaration of no prior significant funding.
Application Deadline: 30th January, 2025
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a citizen of India with 18+ years of age
- The startup should be in the ideation, validation, or very early stages of its lifecycle.
- The startup must not have received significant external funding (exceeding ₹10 lakh), including government grants.
- Registered as Pvt. Ltd. Company or LLP (under 2 year old).
- The applicant must be a first-generation entrepreneur and committed to working full-time on the proposed start-up idea during the EiR program.
