Accelerators are post-incubation initiatives linked to existing incubators, aimed at supplementing and complementing the scaling-up of startups. It aims to focus on directing targeted resources to help startups to validate product ideas, engage with customers, and scale their operations while enhancing the incubators' ongoing activities. Accelerators also helps in realizing and deciding whether to create a scalable start-up from a very nascent stage. The basic objectives of DIAL involve:

• Fast track growth of potential start-ups through monitoring and networking.

• Attract mentors, experts, academicians and investors through structured accelerator programs.

The Proposals may be submitted for a maximum duration of 3 years. Initially, the proposal will be funded for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Under this scheme, the TIH will provide funding of up to ₹2 crore per year.

If multiple institutes intend to apply as a consortium, the budget allocation may be increased subject to the details and scope outlined in the proposal.
