India’s first Autonomous Navigation Testbed (Aerial & terrestrials) facility, then was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Science and Technology & Earth Sciences at IIT Hyderabad on 4th July 2022 Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber- Physical Systems (NMICPS), has sanctioned the prestigious Technology Innovation Hub to IIT Hyderabad. We are a wholly funded Technology Innovation Hub in IIT– Hyderabad by Government of India through DST under NM-ICPS which is a Pan India Mission and covers the entire gamut of India that includes Central Ministries, State Governments, Industry and Academia.

About IRMA ISEED FOUNDATION

Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs for Development (ISEED) at IRMA, started in August 2016, supports and nurtures early-stage rural, social and collective enterprises. ISEED encourages individuals and institutions to experiment with empathy helping them innovate new products, services and institutions that impact livelihoods. ISEED provides bespoke, end-to-end intensive business support to early-stage social enterprises through its unique incubation methodology that starts right from scouting for mission-aligned enterprises, incubating them and finally exiting.

Problem Statements (List is Exclusive & Exhaustive)

Problems/challenges emerged from Agriculture sector and were as follow:

Using drone technology for bio-fertilizer spraying encounters obstacles such as interference from high-tension power lines and electromagnetic waves, which impede drone operation.
Transporting drones for the application of nano urea, which demands distinct equipment from what is currently available, presents a logistical challenge when transitioning between farms, particularly when considering the prospect of farmers renting these drones.
Leveraging technology for the management of drone batteries.
The utilization of automation technology for the management of agricultural produce in warehouse facilities and utilizing technology to develop a solution for the farmer stacking system.
Utilizing automation technology for drone-based applications is hindered by wind, affecting crop flowering, as observed in cotton and Chile cultivation.
The utilization of technology for quality assessment at farm, FPO, Co-operative and warehouse levels.

Problems/challenges emerged from Climate change and were as follow:

Leveraging technology to explore the feasibility of measuring the amount of carbon sequestered in individual saplings through the use of existing technological tools within the field of agroforestry.
The scope of utilizing autonomous technology for the desilting and cleaning of water bodies in rural regions.
Leveraging technology for the storage of hydrogen energy in autonomous navigation vehicles.
Utilizing technology to establish a comprehensive data platform for monitoring the farm health.

Problems/challenges emerged from Dairy sector and were as follow:

The possibility of leveraging technology for Milking-as-a-Service, automating the milking process, and ensuring timely collection and transportation of milk to chilling centers.
Providing technological solutions for decentralized milk pasteurization at the village level.
Implementing technology-driven solutions for the production of animal feed, specifically silage, at the village level.
The cleaning services for cattle sheds and also for sabzi mandis for making it effective using automation navigation and transporting it to a biogas plant for creating environment friendly ecosystem.
